5. Select a Bus I/O Address that is not currently in use.
6. If any token-ring adapter is installed, check for available Shared Bus Memory
values by entering the following command:
lsresource -l bus -a | grep shared_mem_addr
This command generates a list of ISA adapters using a Bus Memory Address
that looks similar to the following:
B tok shared_mem_addr x d - x d7fff
7. Select a Shared Memory Address that is not currently in use.
The valid Shared Memory values for use with the Auto 16/4 Token-Ring ISA
Adapter start at 0xc0000 and increment depending on the length of Shared
Memory that has been selected for the adapter.
8. If any ISA adapter is installed, check for available Address of shared memory
for BIOS values by entering the following command:
lsresource -l bus -a | grep bios_addr
This command generates a list of ISA adapters using a Bus Memory Address
that looks similar to the following:
B tok bios_addr x dc - x ddfff
9. Select an address of shared memory for BIOS that is not currently in use.
The valid ROM address for use with the Auto 16/4 Token-Ring ISA Adapter
start at 0xc8000 and increment by 0x00200.
10. Install the Auto 16/4 Token-Ring ISA Adapter device driver and diagnostic by
choosing:
smit isa
Install ISA Adapter Software
to install the fileset device.isa.tokenring.
11. After installing the software, you might enter:
smit isa
Add an ISA Adapter
12. Select tokenring isa IBM 16/4 PowerPC Token-Ring Adapter from the SMIT
pop-up menu.
13. Select bus1 Available ISA Bus from the following SMIT pop-up menu.
14. From the menu described in Figure 41 on page 133, select the correct
Interrupt Level, Bus I/O Address, Bus Memory and Media Type values, and
press Enter.
