Getting Printer Information over the Network
Note
❒ The optional Network Interface Board is required to acquire printer informa-
tion over the network.
Printer current status
You can check the printer's current status using the following method.

Use the lpq command or stat parameter of rsh, rcp, or ftp.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ mshell
Use status command.

Call Service There is a malfunction in the
printer. Turn the printer off and on. If
this does not clear the prob-
lem, contact your sales or ser-
vice representative.
Cleaner : Not Set Correctly The fuser cleaner roller is not
installed in the printer. Install the fuser cleaner.

Color Toner: Not Set Correctly A toner cartridge is not in-
stalled in the printer.
Install the toner cartridge.

Duplex Unit Cover Open The cover of the duplex unit is
open. Close the cover.
Energy Save Mode The printer is in Energy Saver
mode. Wait for a while.
Front Cover Open The front cover is open. Close the front cover. ⇒ the

FrontCover:Not Closed Prop-
erly The front cover is not closed
correctly. Open the front cover, and
close it again until it locks into
place.
Fusing Oil is Low Fuser oil is low. You can print
about 30 pages more after this
message appears. Replace the fuser oil bottle.
