Measuring

Selecting the

measured variable

You can switch between the following displays with <MODE>:

 D.O. concentration [mg/l]
 D.O. saturation [%]
 D.O. partial pressure [mbar].

Salinity correction

When measuring the concentration of solutions with a salt content of
more than 1 g/l, a salinity correction is required. For this, you have to
measure and input the salinity of the measured medium first. When the
salinity correction is switched on, the [SAL] indicator is displayed in the
measuring window.

Note
The salinity correction is switched on or off and the salinity is entered
in the measuring menu of the D.O. measurement (see page 74).

Note
The LFOx1400(-ID) double sensor can perform the salinity correction
automatically. The conductivity module of the sensor measures the salt
content of the test sample simultaneously with the D.O. The meter
takes the measured value into account.

Stability control

The Stability control function checks the stability of the measurement
signal. The stability has a considerable impact on the reproducibility of
measured values. The display of the measured parameter flashes until
a stable measured value is available.

Independent of the setting for automatic Stability control (see page 35)
in the System menu, you can start the Stability control function
manually at any time.

1

Perform the preparatory activities according to page 71.

2

Immerse the D.O. sensor in the test sample.
