NOTE:

If a timeout error occurs during the Paircreate operation, the copy operation might not execute

correctly in the order you set with the Priority parameter. The timeout error might be caused by the

CU configuration or a remote copy path error. Review the error, delete the pair with the error,

and retry the Paircreate operation.

Error Level: Range used for splitting a pair when a failure occurs.
• Group: If a failure occurs with a pair, all pairs in the consistency group where the pair

belongs are split. This is the default.

• LU: If a failure occurs with a pair, only the pair is split.

M-JNL Information: Information about the master journal.
• Current Mirror(s): Number of mirrors registered in the master journal.
• Total Mirror(s): Sum of the following:

(1) Number of mirrors registered in the master journal.
(2) Number of mirrors to be added by the Paircreate pane
(3) Number of mirrors for volumes in the Preset list on the Pair Operation pane.

Set: Applies settings to the Preset list in the Pair Operation pane (

Figure 56

).

Cancel: Discards settings.

Displaying detailed information about a pair of data volumes

Use the Pairdisplay pane to view detailed information about a pair of data volumes.
To display detailed information about a pair of data volumes, the primary and secondary array

administrators can perform the following procedure:

1.

Display the Pair Operation pane (

).

2.

In the tree of the Pair Operation pane, right-click a pair.

NOTE:

You cannot select more than one pair.

3.

Select Pairdisplay.

4.

In the Pairdisplay pane (

Figure 61

), view detailed information about the pair.

5.

Click Close.
