If you remove failures from the primary site and other locations and change the system to a 3DC

multi-target configuration (see

Recovering from primary site failures (when performing delta resync

operations)

), you can transfer your business tasks back to the primary site.

To transfer your business tasks back to the primary site:

1.

Stop your business tasks on DC1.

2.

Use the RAID Manager to resynchronize the pair in the DC2-to-DC1 direction (the DC1-to-DC3

journal pair is non-active) direction.

3.

Use RAID Manager XP to execute the horctakeover command on the Continuous Access XP

Synchronous pair (causes the DC2-to-DC3 journal pair to go non-active).

4.

Use the primary volume at the primary site to resume your business tasks.

5.

Use RAID Manager XP to resynchronize the volumes in the Continuous Access XP Synchronous

secondary site. When performing the delta resync operation from the volume in Continuous Access

XP Synchronous primary site, the status of the Continuous Access XP Journal pair's data volumes

changes as explained in
