Managing eCopy-enabled devices
Managing eCopy-enabled devices involves the following tasks:
■ Specifying the default device (see “Specifying the default device” on page 143).
■ Specifying default scanner settings (see “Specifying default scanner settings” on page 144).
■ Configuring activity tracking (see “Configuring activity tracking for devices” on page 145).
■ Configuring document tracking (see “Configuring Document Tracking” on page 149).
■ Publishing connector profiles to devices (see “Publishing connector profiles” on page 150).
Specifying the default device
You can specify a default device from which new devices inherit their initial configuration of
connectors. For example, if the default device uses the Exchange and Scan to Printer connectors,
any new devices are automatically configured to use them, too.
If you do not specify a default device, and you add a new device, no connectors are automatically
configured for the new device.
To specify the default device:
Right-click the device name in the console tree and select Set as default device .
Note: Devices can only inherit default connector profiles from a default device from the same
manufacturer.
