Monitoring

Monitoring is active when the gateway is in operation and registered to the GSM
network. If the gateway is not registered to GSM, the COM is blocked and no
monitoring can be made.

This simple informative function helps you identify:

The GSM module type and IMEI ID;

The SIM card IMSI ID and selected SMS service centre necessary for SMS

sending;

The GSM provider's name and signal strength received by 2N® SmartGate -

this information helps you find the optimum signal location (the information is
updated in 10s intervals);

The 2N® SmartGate line status – standby, outgoing call, incoming call

including telephone number. The COM is locked during dialing and incoming call
ringing, so the PCManager reports COM blocking.

Time set in gateway, the time is taken from network, when the network

supplies this information. It is possible to set it from PC or manually, this
information is lost, when the gateway is switched off. Special versions of
gateways are equipped with backup supply to support clock during power
failure.
