Cleaning
Removing the Shuttle Hook
1. Raise the needle to its highest position.
2. Open the shuttle cover on the front of the free arm.
3. Take out the bobbin case by opening its latch and pulling it out
from the shuttle race.
4. Slide the latch levers out from the retaining ring and remove the
retaining ring. See fig. A.

5. Remove the hook by grasping the center post of the hook and pull-
ing it out as shown in fig. B.

NOTE:
When the needle is lowered, the shuttle hook cannot be removed.
Cleaning the Shuttle Race
1. Remove any accumulated lint and thread with a brush from the
retaining ring, hook, driver and race body .

2. A cloth dampened with machine oil should be used to wipe the
shuttle race clean of lint.
3. Clean the lint from the shuttle hook using a cloth dampened with
machine oil.
4. Reassemble the hook with the notch at the top and push the latch
levers back to their positions to hold the retaining ring in place.
NOTE:
If the needle has moved, you will need to return it to its highest posi-
tion before reinstalling the hook. The hook will not go back into place
unless the needle and take-up lever are in their highest positions.
Cleaning the Feed Dogs (fig. C)
1. Remove the needle plate using a coin or screwdriver to remove the
screws.
2. Clean the lint from the upper part of the feed dogs and shuttle race
body with a brush.

Puhdistaminen
Sukkulapesän koukun irrottaminen
1. Nosta neula sen ylimpään asentoon.
2. Avaa lisäpöydän etupuolella oleva sukkulapesän kansi.
3. Ota puolakotelo ulos avaamalla sen salpa ja vetämällä se pois
sukkulapesästä.
4. Liu'uta salvan vivut ulos kiinnitysrenkaasta ja irrota kiinnitysrengas.

5. Irrota koukku tarttumalla sen keskiosaan ja vetämällä se ulos ku-
van B osoittamalla tavalla.

VINKKI :
Sukkulapesän koukkua ei voi irrottaa neulan ollessa ala-asennossa.
Sukkulapesän puhdistaminen
1. Poista harjalla nukka ja langanpätkät kiinnitysrenkaasta, koukusta,
käyttöpyörästä ja sukkulapesästä.

2. Sukkulapesä on hyvä pyyhkiä puhtaaksi nukasta koneöljyllä
kostutetulla kankaalla.
3. Poista nukka sukkulapesän koukusta koneöljyllä kostutetulla kan-
kaalla.
4. Kokoa koukku uudelleen siten, että lovi osoittaa ylöspäin, ja paina
salvan vivut takaisin siten, että ne pitävät kiinnitysrengasta paikoil-
laan.
VINKKI :
Jos neula on siirtynyt, palauta se yläasentoon ennen koukun asettamis-
ta takaisin paikalleen. Koukkua ei voi asettaa takaisin paikalleen, ellei-
vät neula ja langannostaja ole yläasennossa.
Syöttäjän hampaiden puhdistaminen (kuva C)
1. Poista pistolevy irrottamalla sen ruuvit kolikon tai ruuvitaltan avul-
la.
2. Puhdista nukka syöttäjän hampaiden ja sukkulapesän yläosasta
harjalla.
