11.6 Maintenance End Points
A Maintenance Association End Point (MEP) is an actively managed CFM entity that can
generate and receive CFM PDUs and track any responses. Up to 256 MEPs can be configured in
a 9145EMP NID device. For more information, see the section “Logical Positioning of MEPs and
MIPs” on page 128.
