5.2.2 Functional Configuration

From the Port Configuration screen (Figure 5-3), select the Functional Configuration (2) and
press Enter. The Functional Configuration screen (Figure 5-5) opens.

The Functional Configuration screen displays the User and Network port speed and duplex
information, and allows you to set the functions listed below. To modify the settings, type the
number of the setting and press Enter.

You can modify the following settings:

User Port Connectors (for ports 1-4) Controls whether the User Port UTP or SFP connector is
active, regardless of what is physically connected. The SPD LED will blink once a second over
the active connector if it is empty. Press the Space bar to move between the SFP and UTP
connector.

User Port Settings (for ports 1-4) Sets the speed/duplex for each User Port and allows the port
to be disabled.

If UTP is selected as the connector, press the Space bar to select a setting.

If SFP is selected as the connector, the speed setting is defined by the SFP. Press the

Space bar to move between the available options.
