standalone

To specify that the Cisco 3825 router is being used in a standalone configuration (which impacts the
relays on the VWIC/HWIC), use the standalone command in y-cable configuration mode. To use the
router in a redundant configuration, use the no form of this command.

[no] standalone

Syntax Description

This command has no arguments or keywords.

Defaults

By default, the Cisco 3825 router is configured to be used in a redundant configuration (no standalone)
and the relays are open.

Usage Guidelines

Issuing the standalone command closes the relays on the VWICs/HWICs installed in the Cisco 3825
router.

Examples

The following example closes the relays so that the router can be used as a standalone device.
