12. Self-Diagnostics and Alarms

Self-diagnostic ítems and their error or alarm messages are described below,

IZ.l Self-diagnostics

Tlic LF404 converter lias a self-diagiiosties fnnetion to detect such problems as setting error,

I/O error or converter hardware failure and shows the resulting error or alarm messages on

ihe LCD display (optional) or on the AF 1(10 hand-held terminal through the HART proiocol

communications. The error or alarm messages and their corrective actions are described

below.

■ Setting error

If you try to set the value or measuring unit out of the range specified for each item, one of

the following error messages appears.

appears. If the higli or low limit alarm cnablc/disahlc status is set to OFF, its
