000 Basic Setup
This menu bank has settings for the most fundamental settings governing how the MX-2424 responds to
external clocks and control. The items in this bank are:
• Control Mode
• Frame Reference
• Sample Reference
• Sample Ref Status
• Timecode Type
• Sample Rate
• Varispeed Rate
Control Mode
The control mode governs what signal source controls the MX 2424’s transport functions. The control
mode choices are described below.
Local/ TL Bus
In local mode (offline) the front panel transport buttons offer direct control over the all transport
functions. When the TL-Bus mode is active and the unit is online, the MX-2424 can function as either a
master or a slave to other TL-Bus devices, as set through Setup menu 110 (TL -Bus). This is the default
value.
Timecode Chase
When Timecode chase is active and the unit is online, the MX-2424 will chase incoming LTC.
