Figure 1-9 illustrates the following events:
z The OSS sends X.25 calls through an X.25 packet network (over an X.25 trunk) to
AI296.
z AI296 makes call routing decisions based on the AI198 routing alias.
z AI296 sends local X.25 calls directly to its attached NEs. X.25 NEs are connected
to the OSS with a single X.25 trunk.
z AI296 converts local X.25 calls to TCP/IP calls and sends them over the IRB to a
remote AI296.
z The remote AI296 sends remote X.25 calls directly to its attached network
elements.
