STEP 3 (Shutdown Procedures)

Manually open the UPS input circuit breaker by moving the handle to the OFF position (Figure 3).
Return to the Monitor/Mimic Display to verify status of the circuit breakers. Press the Alarm Reset

pad to clear alarm messages.

STEP 4 (Shutdown Procedures)

If maintenance is required on the Static Bypass Switch, open the two Static Disconnect fusehold-

ers.

STEP 5 (Shutdown Procedures)

If maintenance is required on the UPS controls, open the Control Disconnect fuseholders and open the

Rectifier Input Breaker (RIB), external to the UPS cabinet.
At this point, power is removed from the UPS module components, but the bypass line is still ener-

gized and supplying power to the load.

STEP 6 (Shutdown Procedures)

If maintenance is required in the area of the UPS motorized circuit breakers, transfer the load to the

Maintenance Bypass, if available (refer to 3.4.3 - Maintenance Bypass Load Transfers).

Before performing any maintenance on your Liebert Series 610 UPS, observe ALL of the WARNINGS

in 4.0 - Maintenance.

Local Emergency Modules Off (LEMO)

The UPS controls include an Emergency Module Off pad (Figure 3, item 13). When this guarded

pad is pressed, the load is automatically transferred to the bypass line and the module output, battery

and input circuit breakers trip open to isolate and shut down and isolate the UPS module. Control

Power for indicators and alarms remains On.

Remote Emergency Power Off (REPO)

The Remote Emergency Power Off control (REPO) is a switch located remotely from the UPS system.

It will normally be in the same room as the critical load equipment.
The Remote Emergency Power Off switch removes all power to the critical load.
When you trip the Remote Emergency Power Off switch, all UPS circuit breakers are opened, includ-

ing the bypass circuit breaker. All power through the UPS is removed from the load. You will still

have power to the UPS controls, and you may have power to the static switch.

!

CAUTION

The UPS bypass line is still energized.

!

CAUTION

If your installation does not include a Maintenance Bypass, power must still be isolated from

both sides of the UPS circuit breakers if maintenance is required. This will result in loss of

power to the critical load. Perform an orderly load shutdown before isolating power.

!
