Command Usage

If a login attempt is not detected within the timeout interval, the connection is terminated for
the session.

This command applies to both the local console and Telnet connections.

The timeout for Telnet cannot be disabled.

Using the command without specifying a timeout restores the default setting.

Example
To set the timeout to two minutes, enter this command:

Console(config-line)#timeout login response 120

Console(config-line)#

Command Usage
Specifying session identifier “0” will disconnect the console connection. Specifying any other
identifiers for an active session will disconnect an SSH or Telnet connection.
