Connect the USB cable previously connected to the FP board to the SD flash module

If this is the last task you are performing, fasten the black protective cover over

the front panel board and replace the front chassis cover and the front panel
bezel.
Reconnect all external devices and the power cord(s).

Installing a USB Solid-State Drive

The separately orderable, optional SMART*Embedded USB Solid-State Drive (eUSB SSD)
provides local USB flash memory storage for various uses, such as system information,
diagnostic partitions, and configuration data. There are two places where a solid
state drive can be installed on the CG2100 server; on the front panel board and on the
server board.

Installing a Solid-State Drive on the Front Panel Board

1.

Remove the front chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Front Cover” in

Section 3.2.

2.

Unfasten the black protective cover over the front panel board.

3.

Insert the drive module onto the front panel board by connecting the standoff

(Figure 51, “A”) onto the FP board and the USB connector on the module onto the FP
board header. (“B”)

4.

If this is the last task you are performing, refasten the protective cover over the

FP board and replace the front chassis cover.
Reconnect all external devices and the power cord(s).
