7. Remove the USB flash memory from the FP board (if present) so it can be used on the
replacement board. For more information, see Section 4.12 “Installing a Solid-State
Drive on the Front Panel Board”.
Installing the New Front Panel Board
1. Install the USB flash memory if you are using this option. For instructions, see
Section 4.12,”Installing a Solid-State Drive on the Front Panel Board”.
2. Slide the new FP board toward the front of the chassis so the serial port connector
fits through the slot on the front panel of the chassis and the two keyhole slots
fit over the standoffs on the bottom of the chassis. (Figure 61, “A”)
3. Tighten the screw at the rear of the board to secure it to the chassis base. (“B”)

4. Reconnect all of the cables on the FP board. For locations of each header on the
board, see Figure 59.
4.1. Reconnect the front panel power cable that comes from the SAS/SATA
backplane board.
4.2. Re connect the 80mm CPU fan ganged power cable.
4.3. Reconnect the LED/switch board power and signal cable.
4.4. Reconnect the 60mm PCI fan power cable.
4.5. Reconnect the TAM module alarms cable.
4.6. Reconnect the bridge board. For instructions see “Re-Installing the
Bridge Board” in Section 5.3.
