2.7.2 Restore System Defaults

System defaults can be restored by using EDP commands or manually resetting the iQUBE

2

.

Using the below procedure to manually reset the system to its default settings will also reset addresses and IDs. To
restore system defaults but retain addresses and IDs, use the RESETDEFAULT EDP command (see Table 2-12).

1. Ensure SW1 is set to CFG (see Figure 2-2).
2. Press and hold

S1

until the LED lights blink 4-5 times and

then remain a steady green.

3. Set SW1 to OFF to overwrite stored system parameters with

default values.

Installing Option Cards

Each option card is shipped with installation instructions specific to that card. The general procedures for iQUBE

2

option cards are described below:

Option cards are not hot-pluggable.
Disconnect power to the

iQUBE

2

before installing option cards.

1. With power disconnected from the iQUBE

2

, insert plastic standoffs (included with the option card) into the

mounting holes in the CPU board.

2. Carefully align the option card connector with connector J9 (see Figure on page 7) and the standoffs. Press

down to seat the option card in the CPU board connector, then press to seat the standoffs in the option card
mounting holes.

3. Make connections to the option card as required. Use cable ties to secure loose cables inside the enclosure.

The

iQUBE

2

automatically recognizes all installed option cards when the unit is powered on. No hardware-

specific configuration is required to identify the newly installed card to the system.

EDP Command

Explanation

RESETCONFIGURATION Clears all parameters and all primary/secondary IDs and addresses.

RS

Resets the software to restart all processes in the core.

RESETDEFAULT

Resets all parameters to default, but leaves the primary/secondary
IDs intact.

If S1 is not held long enough, when released, the lighst will
flash red and then go out indicating the system has not
been set.

Note

Power cycling the unit without overwriting stored
parameters will reload stored parameters including
previously assigned secondary board IDs and addresses.
