8.4 Installing Firmware Updates
The Rice Lake iQUBE 2 Flash Updater application is automatically installed with Virtui 2 and Revolution III. If
using Virtui 2 , the iQUBE 2 Flash Updater can be run by clicking Start » All Programs » Rice Lake Weighing Systems »

Flash Updater . If using Revolution III, the iQUBE 2 Flash Updater can be run from within the program.
Because the iQUBE 2
Flash Updater uses the same port as Virtui 2
, Virtui 2
services must be stopped before the
iQUBE 2 Flash Updater can execute a firmware update. To stop Virtui 2 services, open Services by doing one of
the following:
• From the Windows Start menu, select Run..., type services.msc in the prompt, then click OK.
• From the Windows Start menu, select Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, then open Services.
• Select Services from the Virtui 2 Configuration Utility Tools menu.
Then, right-click on each Virtui 2 service and select STOP.
