• Live performance with Combo Amplifiers

Tech Tip:

When using the FX770 with a combo-type amp, try the following suggestions to get the purest results. Since all

combo-type amps contain both preamp and power-amp sections, the goal is to not color or otherwise adversely affect

the tone of your FX770.

1. If the combo has an “Effect Loop ”, try connecting the Stereo Outputs of your FX770 to the Effect Loop Returns

of the combos. This should bypass the preamp section of the combo amp and provide direct access the power-

amp section.

2. If the combo does not have an effects loop, set the preamp volume as clean as possible and place any tone controls

as “flat” as you can.
