6.3 FOOT SWITCH FUNCTIONS
• FS1 port
BYPASS (TUNE)
You can control BYPASS using the Yamaha FC5. Stepping on the FC5 toggles it between BYPASS ON/OFF.
“TUNER” is selected when the FX770 is in Play mode and BYPASS is set to ON. This is very useful when you wish
to use the tuner on stage.
1. Select “BYPASS (TUNE)” in 5.3 FS1 function” on page 24.
2. Save the data if necessary.
3. Connect the footswitch to the FSl port.

Recalling a Program
You can select a Program using the Yamaha FC5. Pressing the FC5 each time will increment or decrement the
Program number one by one. You can also specify the range of the Program numbers that you can recall.
1. Re-store the Programs in the order you wish to recall, if necessary.
2. Set “PROGRAM: xxx xxx in “5.4 FS2 function” on page 25 and specify the range of the Program numbers
you can recall.
ex.l) 62 65: 62 ^ 63 -> 64 ^ 65-|
ex.2) 65 -> 62: 1—^ 65 —^ 64 —> 63 —^ 62—1
3. Connect the footswitch to the [FS2] port.
Selecting a Bank
You can select a Bank using the Yamaha FC5. Pressing the FC5 each time will change the Bank one by one in
alphabetical order. You can also specify the range of Banks that you can recall. Using only the MFC05 or MFC06
to change the Programs allows you to recall only 10 (5) Programs. However, using this function allows you to recall
70 (35) Programs.

3. Connect the footswitch to the [FS2] port.
Switchung the speed
You can change the MODE parameter of “MOD:ROT” by pressing the Yamaha FC5. The switching sequence is as
follows:
STOP SLOW FAST ->SLOW -> STOP->SLOW^ FAST
1. Select “EFFECT TRIGGER” in “5.4 FS2 function” on page 25 and specify the effective Bank title.
