Section 5: The Utility Mode

5.2 SETTING THE MINIMUM VALUE FOR THE VOLUME CONTROL

This function is for setting the Minimum Volume Value for the optional Yamaha FC7 Foot Controller or guitar volume pedal
that can be connected to the Volume jack on the FX770 rear panel.

The FOOT CTRL (VOL) display on the LCD contains the following information:

Minimum Voiume Vaiue

Minimum Volume Value shows the minimum value for the Volume Control.

Values assignable from 0 to 100.

To Set the Minimum Volume:

1, Press the [UTILITY] key to enter the Utility Mode, continue pressing the [UTILITY] key until the display

appears as above.

2. Use the [DATA WHEEL] to set the Minimum Volume value of your choice.

* You need an optional Yamaha insert I/O cable when you use a guitar volume pedal. (See page 6.)

5.3 FSl FUNCTION

The FSl Function Select assigns the external FSl footswitch function to be either Bypass (Tune) or for Effect On/Off (as
described in Section 4.5 of this manual).

The FSl Function display on the LCD contains the following information:

FSl FUNCTION

BVPfiSS(TUNE)-

Function Assign

EFFECT OH/OFF

Function Assign shows the currently selected function.

To Set the FSl Function

1. Press the [UTILITY] key to enter the Utility Mode, continue pressing the [UTILITY] key until the display

appears as above.

2. Use the [DATA WHEEL] to set the FSl Function of your choice.
