The illustration shows that a PRE time and a POST time are automatically assigned to every cue or
chase. You will also see the start-cue (starts the loop, designated AS) is located in front of the actual
loop. This start-cue may either be a defined startcue (any programmed cue), or always the cue that is
active immediately before the loop starts.

The basic configuration of the loop is performed in the PARAM menu. The following parameters are
availabe:
AS-TRK:

the loop starts taking as start-cue any previously programmed cue or chase.

AS-PRE:

that loop starts takingas start-cue the cue or chase that was last active before the loop.

This function will be activated by pressing the softkey AS-PRE.

It is also possible that you define a particular cue as startcue. You must programme this

start-cue first and store it on a cue key. You can assign the start-cue by pressing the
corresponding cue key.

AS-OFF:

the loop runs without a defined start-cue.

PRE-/+:

enters the period of time that elapses before the cue is activated.

POST-/+:

enters the period of time that elapses after the cue has been activated.

If you are programming a timeline show later, the basic parameters entered here will always be applied.
The following values are factory settings:

AS-PRE:

active

PRE time:

1 second

POST time:

3 seconds

Note: When loops are programmed, the Licon 1X accesses the storage matrix of the cues and chases
that are contained in the loop. If cues or chases are not given full priority in the storage matrix, the AS-
PRE parameter will falsify the show, when the show is not run from the start.
When the AS-TRK parameter is programmed, waiting periods may occur, since the Licon 1X must read in
all cues that are stored on the console. This parameter has the advantage that the show will always run
optically perfect indpendently of whether the timeline show is started from the beginning or not.

22.4 Basic timeline programming (RECORD)

Chapter 22.4 will only explain the most important timeline programming functions. A more detailed
explanation of the menu is given in Chapter 22.5 Complex timeline programming.

Before you can start with the actual timeline programming, you must enter the basic parameters of th loop
as described in 22.3 Entering basic parameters for timeline programming (LOOP).

The programming of a timeline show is performed in the RECORD menu. Enter the main menu and press
the softkey TOOLS. Press the softkey TILINE and then RECORD. The Record menu has the following
functions:

M-CLR:

deletes a marker

M-ADD:

adds a marker

PLAY:

plays the show from the start

 PLAY:

plays the show from a defined point in time

A-PLAY:

show runs within the programmed loop

FADE:

enters the fade time

LOOP:

activates the loop function

TRACK-/+:

selects individual tracks

FRAME -/+:

shifts the timeline forward or backward

ZOOM-/+:

increases or reduces time unit on the display

During timeline programming, cues and chases stored previously are assigned to specific passages of
the music track. Within the timeline function, cues and chases are referred to as events.
