4.1.1 Available Parents

This page opens when you click the Available Parents button on the Radio
Configuration Form.

Note: This form is not available when the radio type is Master.

This page is helpful for viewing:
 Possible parents for a repeater. The current parent should normally be the

radio with the lowest cost and a matching SSID.

 Other 802.11 networks in the area.

list.

The radio channel on which the device is transmitting. The channel list
indicates the channel number as well as the frequency (5 gHz).

The encryption type enabled for the device.

Speed

The IEEE 802.11 connection speed.

non-ProSoft devices.

This list contains both 802.11 devices that are part of the same SSID as the
RLXIB-IHA itself (for example, "Minerals") as well as devices that belong to
different SSIDs (for example, "Network1" and "ProSoftInternal"). This list is
updated continuously and can be used for many purposes.
