WAN Commands
atmping vccn [ segment | end-to-end ]
Lets you check the ATM connection reachability and network connectivity. This command
sends five Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) loopback calls to the speci-
fied vpi/vci destination. There is a five second total timeout inter val.
Use the segment argument to ping a neighbor switch.
Use the end-to-end argument to ping a remote end node.
reset dhcp client release [ vcc-id ]
Releases the DHCP lease the Netopia Gateway is currently using to acquire the IP settings
for the specified DSL por t. The
vcc-id identifier is an “index” letter in the range B-I, and
does not directly map to the VCC in use. Enter the reset dhcp client release
command without the variable to see the letter assigned to each vir tual circuit.
reset dhcp client renew [ vcc-id ]

Resets any open DSL connection.
reset ppp vccn
Resets the point-to-point connection over the specified vir tual circuit. This command only
applies to vir tual circuits that use PPP framing.
show atm [all]
Displays ATM statistics for the Netopia Gateway. The optional all argument displays a
more detailed set of ATM statistics.
