To activate or deactivate the general calls acceptance service on

your extension, from an idle extension:

67

z

Dial the prefix “67”, assigned to the general calls acceptance
service.

Â

Press the Loudspeaker key on your extension.

A confirmation that the service was accepted is provided both

visually and audibly; the “Accepted Service” message is displayed

on the screen, and the service acceptance tone is played.
If your extension was inactive in relation to the general calls

acceptance service, it now becomes active.
The opposite is also true – if your general calls acceptance status

was previously active, it will become inactive. Your extension will

then only receive your personal calls.

í

Next, press the C (Clear or Erase) key on your extension to
end the management of this service.

Your extension returns to idle status.
When your extension’s general calls acceptance status is active,

the letters “GC” will be displayed on the second line of the screen.

Notes:

The prefix “67” is the one usually used to manage the

general calls acceptance service. It may, however, have

been modified by your system administrator.

Your rights to the general calls acceptance service depend

on your facility’s different private and public networks.

When you have the right to the service, a digit may be dis-

played on the first line of your extension’s screen. Whether

or not the service is active on your extension, it will indicate

the number of calls currently being processed by the atten-

dants. The purpose of this digit is to encourage you to activate

the general calls acceptance service on your extension.
