Close-Up Mode
This mode is for taking close-up shots of flowers,
insects, or other small subjects.
Set the Mode Dial to

● The way you take pictures is the same as in

(Full Auto) mode. (→42)
The AF mode is automatically set to (ONE
SHOT), the drive mode to

(Single shot),
and the metering mode to

The Quality setting is automatically set to
Large/Fine (2160
×
1440).
● Close-up mode is most effective when the subject is at the minimum focusing
distance of the lens.
● If you use a zoom lens, use its longest focal length to get a higher magnification.
● For better close-ups, we recommend using an EOS-dedicated macro lens and
the Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX.
