Setting
Receiving
Order Options

Receiving options for the RF Portables are set in the Receiving tab of the
Options form. Select the Receiving tab to bring this section to the front.

1.

In the Other section of the form, select the desired receiving order
options for the RF portables.
Show all receiving orders: Mark this check box to display open and
closed orders on order inquiry.
Auto Close receiving orders: Mark this check box to close the order
when the receiving process is completed for all lines.
Prompt for location: Mark this check box to prompt the operator for
the location during receiving. Operations with multiple receiving bays
could use this feature rather than the default location. If unmarked, the
operator will not be prompted to enter a receiving location on the porta-
ble. The default receiving location that is automatically entered in the
Receiving Location field will be the default receiving location for all
orders.
Remove pallet on put-away: Mark this check box to remove pallet
information during the put-away process. This option is for operators
that only use pallet tracking for the receiving and put-away process.
Allow over receiving: Mark this check box to allow the operator to
receive an item quantity exceeding that indicated on the order.
Cross dock check during put-away item: Mark this check box to alert
the operator during the put-away process, the operator is alerted that a
pending ship order requires the items. Rather than complete the put-
away process, the items are routed to the shipping staging location.

2.

Enter the default receiving location in the Receiving location field.
This is the location that is automatically inserted in the location field
during the receiving process so that during the receiving process the
operator can identify the item and quantity, allowing the system to
automatically store all inbound material in a pre-determined location.
