Inventory with
the RF
Portable

IntelliTrack WMS supports physical inventory counts. During the physical
count, the operator can verify all the items within a storage location. The
system confirms the entered quantity with the location count. If there is a
difference, the terminal requests a recount from the operator.

An inventory recount can be triggered by setting a percentage ratio in the
Physical or cycle count threshold warning option on the Inventory tab
during RF Application Setup (for more information, see

“Setting Inven-

tory Options” on page 11

. Any total item count differences above this per-

centage ratio require confirmation and total item counts below this
percentage ratio are processed without confirmation. This feature can be
set to update inventory on-hand quantities directly if the option Replace
on-hand quantities
option is selected in the System Options form/
Options tab of the WMS workstation application. If the option is off, the
new quantities can be confirmed later from the Inventoried field of the
Inventory Data form via the Update Inventory button. For more informa-
tion about updating inventory counts in this manner, please refer to the
Inventory Management chapter in the IntelliTrack WMS Workstation User
Manual or the WMS workstation online help.

Note: Cycle counts can be done in a similar fashion. Cycle counts by date
can be established by entering a cycle period on the
Reorder Quantities
tab of the
Item Data form in the workstation application. The cycle date is
updated after the counts have been completed. Cycle counts can also be
processed by selecting individual items.
