Mapping a Device Key to the ESC Function

You must determine the device key that you want to configure for the ESC
function. On the device, select the key that you want to use for the ESC
function and then identify its scan code via the “Keyboard Test” dialog.
Select Configuration > Keyboard Test to reach this dialog. At the “Key-
board Test
” dialog, you are able to determine the scan code for the device
key that you selected:

On the device, pick the key that you want to use for the ESC function.
To identify its scan code, use the “Keyboard Test” dialog on the
device.

Select Configuration > Keyboard Test to reach this dialog.

At the “Keyboard Test” dialog, you are able to determine the scan
code for the device key that you selected for the ESC function. To do
so, press the key that you want to use; the scan code digits for this key
are shown. Record the scan code digits for the key.

Set the key’s scan code for the ESC function via the configuration in
the wireless telnet client. This key must be configured for \1B.

Configuring the ESC Option

Once you determine the key that you are going to use for the ESC function
and its scan code, it must be configured for \1B. The ESC function is con-
figured in the VT_SCANCODES folder of the wireless telnet client. To
configure the ESC function, refer to the steps that follow.

From the Main screen, select Configure VT Options.

The _WTnCEVT.iniedit - IniEditor Multilingual window appears.
