Serger Library – Additions

Thread the serger for a 3-thread Overlock stitch using the Center Needle.

Turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “A” on the Stitch Display Panel.

Pull the Stitch Selection Lever/Rolled Hem towards you.

Adjust the Stitch Length to 1.5.

Attach the Blind Stitch Foot.

Move the Fabric Guide just to the left of the Knife Line on the Stitch Plate.

Stiffen the batiste with Spray Starch or a Fabric Stiffener.

Mark 3 lines 1” apart the length of the fabric.

Fold the fabric along a marked line and place the fabric under the Presser Foot

so that the fold is against the Fabric Guide. Serge the tucks.

Return the Stitch Selection Lever/Rolled Hem to the normal sewing position

(away from you).

Trim and mount the sample.

FABRIC:

Batiste 3½” X 6”

NEEDLES:

70/10 Sharp or Microtex

THREAD:

3 cones of Isacord thread
