CHAINSTICH SEAM

•
Convert the serger from Overlock to Cover Stitch using the directions on
page__ in the Instruction Manual or on the Quick Reference card. Insert the
Right Needle and turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “G”.
•
Set Stitch Length at 3.
•
Following the instructions on page ___ of your Instruction Manual, thread the
serger for a Chain Stitch.
•
With right sides together place the fabric under the Needles. Use the

” mark
on the Cover/Chain Stitch Extension Plate to position the fabric.
•
Chain Stitch the fabrics together. Continue stitching off the end of the fabric.
•
Following the directions on page ___ of the Instruction Manual, remove the chain
stitch.
•
Lift the toe of the Presser Foot and Chain Stitch the seam a second time.
•
Following the directions on page___ in the Instruction manual, secure the thread
tail.
•
Trim and mount the sample.
