Attach the Upper Looper Converter.

Following the directions in the Instruction Manual, attach the Deco Guide

over the Lower Looper Tension Slit.

Thread the Lower Looper with the decorative thread. Thread the first Thread

Guide. The thread will pass through the Deco Guide skipping the tension disk.

Turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “E”.

Adjust Stitch Length to 4. You can slowly shorten the Stitch Length as you

serge to fill in the Flatlock stitch.

Sew the sample.

If the tension on the decorative thread is too tight, remove the thread from

Thread Guide #5 and try again.

If the tension on the decorative thread is still too tight, remove the thread

from Thread Guide #7 and try again.

If the tension is still too tight, remove the thread from the first Thread Guide

and try again. You may need to rethread guides #5 and/or #7 to slightly
increase the tension.

Experiment with the suggested threads, by-passing Thread Guides as needed.

Press, trim, and mount the samples on the next page.
