When you call

When you call, be at your computer and be ready to give:

The product serial number.

You’ll find this number on the Activation disk label and in the About FactoryTalk
View Studio
dialog box available from the Help menu in FactoryTalk View Studio.

The product version number.

The type of hardware you are using.

The exact wording of any messages that appeared on your screen.

A description of what happened and what you were doing when the problem occurred.

A description of how you tried to solve the problem.

You may also be required to provide information about the FactoryTalk View add-ons and
updates that are installed on your computer.

To view the list of installed add-ons and updates

1. In FactoryTalk View Studio, select Help> About FactoryTalk View Studio.

2. To view the list of installed add-ons, click Add-Ons.
