Cleaning the Shuttle Race
This area must be kept free of dust, lint and
occasional tangled thread. Clean the shuttle race area
about every three months.
• Cleaning the shuttle area
0 Bobbin case

© Center pin on the shuttle
Raise the needle bar to its highest point and remove the
bobbin case©.
Push shuttle race levers 0 aside. Lift shuttle race
cover© and take shuttle©out.
Clean the shuttle race © with a lint brush.
Put a drop of oil on the center pin of the shuttle © and
shuttle race© . Do not over oil.

® Pointed hook
® (Oil here)
Turn handwheel so that shuttle driver © is forming half
moon on the left side of the machine.
Hold shuttle® by center pin © and position shuttle so as
to form a half moon on the right side. The pointed hook ©
will be on the bottom.
Place shuttle race cover© into place over shuttle
assembly.
Snap the levers 0 back into the original position.
