Chapter 3: Installation/Basic Troubleshooting

Communication with Ethernet Hub, or
switch cannot be established.

Verify RJ-45 cable is firmly installed in the Ethernet
port.

Check MDI/MDIX configuration. Check duplex set-
ting on the switch in which they were connected and
the speed of 10MB or 100 MB.

Communication between the computer’s
COM port and Tenor AS serial port can-
not be established.

Verify DB-9 cable is firmly placed in the unit’s con-
sole port and your PC’s serial port.

Verify Terminal port settings at 38400 BPS 8N1 No
Flow Control.

Tenor AS cannot receive or transmit
calls.

Ensure FXO/FXS ports are working correctly.
Generate alarm list for more information.

Contact Central Office for interface issues.
