Placement when recording with the built-in mic
Point the lens at the subject, and place the unit in a stable location where
there is little vibration.
Connecting an external mic or device
Recording with an external microphone (MIC IN)
Connect an external microphone to the MIC/LINE IN jack.
Point the unit’s lens at the subject and the external microphone at the sound
source, and place the unit and the microphone in a stable location where
there is little vibration.
