7 – Video and Audio Playback
Playlist
You can make a playlist of files for playback.
Set the PLAY AREA item to PLAY LIST on the Play Option
screen to play back the songs in a playlist.
There is one playlist for each operation mode, and you can make, edit and use
these independently.
Playlists can be viewed in either of two modes: THUMBNAIL that shows an
image for each file and FILE that shows a list of icons and file names.
Thumbnail display mode (default):
Operation mode
The icon at the upper left corner shows the cur-rent operation mode.
List numerical order
The order of each file in the list is shown in brackets.
File name
The name of the currently selected file is shown with an icon for the
file type before it.
File thumbnails
File thumbnails are shown.
List display mode

The icon at the upper left corner shows the cur-rent operation mode.

The order of each file in the list is shown in brackets.
File name list
The names of the files in the current playlist are shown in a list. The
currently selected file is shown with an orange background.
Icons that show the file type are shown next to the file names.
NOTE
For explanations of the icons shown, see “Icons shown in list view” on •
page 58.
File names in Japanese and other languages that use multibyte

encodings cannot be shown correctly.
