9 – Connecting with a computer

By connecting this unit to a computer using a USB cable, you can transfer

video, photo and audio files between the microSD card in the unit and the

computer.
This unit can use files with the following formats.

Video

MOV: SD and HD files recorded (video/audio) by a DR-V1HD

Audio

WAV: 16 or 24-bit WAV with 44.1, 48 or 96kHz sampling frequency

Image

JPG: JPEG files with 640x480 or 1280x720 resolution created

by a DR-V1HD

USB

Computer

Mini-B USB plug

NOTE

Instead of connecting the unit to a computer via USB, you can also conduct

the same operations by removing the microSD card from the unit and loading

it directly (or using a card adapter) on a computer.

CAUTIONS

USB bus power is not supported. So, batteries will be drained as usual

when you connect the unit to a USB port.
This unit cannot be operated when connected by USB.

When connected, the USB connected message appears on the display

of the unit.

Make sure that the microSD card is inserted properly. If the microSD card is

not loaded properly, a “NO SDCARD” pop-up message appears.
When loaded properly, this unit appears on the computer as an external

volume named “DR-V1HD”.
