8. If you’re using to suppress extra carriage returns and line feeds from your data being sent out

to the printer. We want the data stream to be one complete line going to the printer.

9. If you still are unable to get printer output, try the Hex Dump as described in Step 5 under the

Parallel Interface troubleshooting. In this case, the printer monitors the RS232C interface for
incoming data.

is low

Replace the pcb battery. Backup
you printer data before changing.

CHNG PRINT BATT

Memory battery on the pcb
is dead

Change battery. Data may be
lost.

NO CARD SET

No PCMCIA card
detected.

Insert PCMCIA memory card in
the slot.

PLS CLEAR CARD

Data found on card.

Clear the card in the data mainte-
nance mode.

CARD BATT LOW

PCMCIA card battery is
low

Replace battery. Back up card
data before changing.

CHNG CARD BATT

PCMCIA battery dead.

Replace battery. Data may be
lost.

WRITE PROTECT ON

Cannot write to PCMCIA
card.

Check to see if card is writing
protected.

CONFIRM CLR TYPE

Improper clear procedure

Clear again.

BLANK FORMAT

Unregistered format num-
ber.

Check to make sure format is
registered in the printer.

DATA ERR

Entered data exceeds lim-
its.

Re-enter correct data.

C/D VERIFY ERR

Check digit incorrect
