B.1.2.1 BootP Options

This section contains instructions for the automatic update of the AP-5131 firmware and
configuration file using a BootP Server.

The setup example described in this section includes:

1 AP-5131

1 Linux/Unix BOOTP Server

1 TFTP Server.

To configure BootP options using a Linux/Unix BootP Server:

1.

Set the Linux/Unix BootP Server and AP-5131 on the same Ethernet segment.

2.

Configure the bootptab file (/etc/bootptab) on the Linux/Unix BootP Server in any one of the
formats that follows:
