Configuring the IP/MAC Addresses

Note: The DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is
on by default. To change the manufacturer default setting,
please use the Acer Smart Blade Manager or the BIOS
firmware.

Using the BIOS Settings to set the IP/MAC Addresses

Go to the BIOS by pressing the <Del> key during system boot.

Select IPMI from the Advanced Menu.

Select LAN Configuration from the IPMI submenu.

Click on the item - IP Address Source. Select the option Static and
hit <Enter>. The onboard BIOS will automatically set the IP
Address, MAC Address, Acer, and Subnet Mask.

Once the IP, MAC Addresses, Acer and Subnet Mask are set, click
on the item Update LAN Settings. Select Yes and hit <Enter> to
update IPMI LAN settings.

Go to the Exit menu. Select Save Changes & Exit and hit <Enter> to
save changes and exit the BIOS.

Using the Internet Browser

Connect a LAN cable to the Ethernet port of the CMM module.

Choose a computer that is connected to the same network and
open the browser.

Enter the IP address of each server that you want to connect to in
the address bar in your browser.

Once the connection is made, the Log-In screen as shown on the
next page will display.
