Message:

CA–64–ADAPTER PROCESSOR FAULT

Fault Type: Hard
Cause:

Adapter internal diagnostic malfunction.

Action:

Check dip switch settings and reset drive, if condition persists
replace adapter board.

RIO Faults

Message:

CA–70–RESET/PROGRAM/TEST (CHA)
CA–85–RESET/PROGRAM/TEST (CHB)

Fault Type: Soft/Warning
Cause:

PLC was switched from run mode to another mode.

Action:

Check PLC mode switch and I/O control reset, if condition
persists, replace adapter board.

Message:

CA–71–RIO COMM LOSS (CHA)

CA–86–RIO COMM LOSS (CHB)

Fault Type: Soft/Warning
Cause:

Loss of communication between adapter and PLC.

Action:

Check wiring and connections, verify adapter is being
scanned, if condition persists, replace adapter board.

DH+ only Faults

Message:

CA–75–DUP NODE ADDR (CHA)
CA–90–DUP NODE ADDR (CHB)

Fault Type: Soft/Warning
Cause:

One or more nodes with the same address exist on the DH+
network.

Action:

Check that each node has a different address, if condition
persists, replace adapter board.

Message:

CA–76–GLOBAL DATA NODE LOSS (CHA)
CA–91–GLOBAL DATA NODE LOSS (CHB)

Fault Type: Soft/Warning
Cause:

Global data was being received from node address and has
ceased.

Action:

Check configuration parameter for correct global data node
address, verify node address is on the network. If condition
persists, replace adapter board.

Message:

CA–77–COMM LOSS, NETWORK DEAD (CHA)
CA–92–COMM LOSS, NETWORK DEAD (CHB)

Fault Type: Soft
Action:

Check wiring and connections, replace MCA board if
condition persists.
