2. Basic operations

This section explains the basic operation of DEQ5.

(1) Recalling program

DEQ5 has two equalizer modes (graphic equalizer mode and parametric equalizer mode). First select either mode
in accordance with the equalizing process you wish to usé now and recall the initial data program or user program
in that mode.

© Use the MEMORY up/down key to recall memory number according to the EQ process you wish to use now.

The initial data program of the graphic equalizer mode is memorized in the memory Nos. 1~20 and the initial
data program of the parametric equalizer mode is memorized in the memory Nos. 21~40 when the unit is

shipped.
The number displayed in the memory number LED blinks at this point.

@ After selecting a number you like, press the “RECALL” key once.

If the “RECALL” key is pressed while changing the parameter value, the following message to be confirmed
will be displayed. (Not recalled yet at this point.)
If you want to execute the recall operation, press the “RECALL” key again. If you don’t, press either

“PARAMETER”, “DISPLAY” or “UTILITY”.

@ Check the content and if it is OK, press the “RECALL” key again to execute memory recall. The flashing

memory number LED display lights up and the program is recalled.
