10. Remote Assign
(1) CONTROL SELECT dial function and REMOTE ASSIGN menu
This “REMOTE ASSIGN” menu is used for setting the LOCAL ADDRESS of each DEQ5(E) to be controlled to
each “CONTROL SELECT” dial number from 1-to 23.
You can only start remote controll of a DEQ5(E) by using “CONTROL SELECT” dial after this setting. (Refer to
the item “[1] Using with DEQ5(E)” (see page 38)
(2) Remote assign setting
Communication protocols (Local Address) of DEQ5E (or DEQ5) connected through RS-485 are set for
“CONTROL SELECT” dial numbers of the unit.
[Example]
When controlling the DEQ5(E) which has Local Address of Group number 1 and Device number 20
with “CONTROL SELECT” number 1 of the unit.

☆ This setting is only effective when the external DEQ5E (or DEQ5) is connected.
Caution
Please do not set multiple DEQ5(E)s except for the main unit to the same communication protocol (same
Group No. and Device No.)
If there are the units which are set the same, the parameter of the unit to be remote controlled cannot be dis
played on the display.
If you try to execute remote controll under this protocol, a warning message “WARNING” is displayed on the
display.
