9. MIDI Control
Various settings can be made when using the MIDI
I/O
terminal here.
MIDI functions such as program change and bulk out, can be set in accordance with the number or channel set in
this menu.
Bank content selected in this menu can be executed. ■

This unit is provided with a function to recall the memory number specified beforehand in correspondence with
the PGM change number when a MIDI program (PGM) change signal is received through the MIDI IN terminal.
Memory numbers can be allocated in up to 4 different patterns (BANK) to the received program change signal.
(Refer to the next setting example.)
* The MIDI program change signal that is received is converted internally by the DEQ5 to a RS-485 program
change signal and output via the RS-485 terminal. (See page 47.)
* The program change received with RS-485 is recalled in accordance with the settings you have made here.
Setting method
(J) Select a bank with “<I, t>” keys.

Select MIDI channel to be transmitted and received with rotary encoder “1”. (“OMNI” is transmitted by 1
channel.)

) Select MIDI program change number to be received from the MIDI sequencer or others with rotary encoder
“2” and allocates the memory number of the unit to be recalled in accordance with the MIDI program change
number with rotary encoder “3”.
© Repeat the procedure of recalling the program number to be received (procedure @) and allocating the
corresponding memory number to it (procedure ®) hereafter.
