4. Remote operation
(1) Parameter which can be set
<Equalizing menu>
DEQ5E has the same equalizer circuit built in as the DEQ5. (*)
Recalling the equalizing menu enables operation aiid setting in the same way as equalizing with the main unit.
* Analyzer function is excluded.
<Equalizing operation>
Operate in the following procedures.
© Turn the “CONTROL SELECT” dial to specify DEQ5E to be controlled.
Parameter content of the DEQ5E to be controlled is displayed in the display, in which “REMOTE **” (refer to
the figure below”) on the lower left.

• Display during remote operation (The number displayed is the "CONTROL SELECT” dial number.)
• Adjust all the parameters in the same procedures as equalizing with the main unit itself.
© Adjusted parameters are sent to the other equipment immediately and the contents of the set parameters are
displayed on the display.
☆ Among the DEQ5(E)s which have the same ADDRESS connected with RS-485, if the parameter set value is
changed, the information is transmitted to them at all times.
If you do not want receive the parameter setting change on the receiving side but you want to receive only the
memory recall, set “PROTECT” switch on the real panel to “MEMORY” or “SOFTWARE” protect to “0”.
Caution regarding remote control
If you operate multiple devices connected to RS-485 simultaneously, it will malfunction.
When you are operating one device, do not operate the other devices.
