1. The concept of remote operation
The concept to remote operation is explained here before we move on to settings.

This unit

Operations and settings on the panel are effective to the internal circuit of the DEQ5 main unit.
When DEQ5(E)s are connected to RS-485 terminal, parameter change, program change, and bulk dump informa
tion is transmitted to equipment with the same communication protocol as the main unit.
There is no effects on a DEQ5(E) which does not use the same communication protocols.
