12. Bit Shift

When transmitting or receiving the signal between different digital audio units, deviation in bit unit will occur due
to the longer cable distances or other reasons even if the word clock is set to same values for all units. If the other
unit does not have a function to correct the deviation between the operation clock signal and the digital input
signal, the deviation will result in noise in some cases.
To solve this problem, DEQ5 delays transmitting the digital audio signal in bit units and adjusts it so that it can

match the next word. Time compensation is conducted here.

Change the numeral value monitoring the sound by using the used format (Rotary encoder “1” for Y2 and rotary
encoder “2” for AES/EBU) and find the part with the least noise by ear.
